What is Tuckpointing?
Tuckpointing is the process of cutting out old, deteriorated mortar to a uniform depth and placing new mortar in the joint. The deterioration of mortar is caused by erosion from water, wind and pollution, inadequate expansion joints, composition of the mortar, and/or uneven settling in the building foundation.
